Adventures in nerdism

Excerpt from New York Times article by David Halbfinger on The Dark Knight:

Christopher Nolan, the director of “The Dark Knight” — the follow-up to his 2005 franchise reboot, “Batman Begins” — is unperturbed by the rain, but a tiny detail irks him. “Hey, buster!” he shouts to the stuntman, craning his neck skyward and raising his voice for the first time all day (politely, as ever, but enough so he can be heard). “Could you turn yourself a little more to the left?”

Email from Ian to NY Times journalist:

Hi, I really liked your article, 'Batman's Burden: A Director Confronts Darkness and Death'. Was wondering, though, where you've quoted Mr Nolan as saying, "Hey, buster!", he was actually saying, "Hey, Buster!" to Buster Reeves, the lead stuntman. Cheers, Ian.

Email from NY Times journalist to Ian:

Thanks much! And you're quite right, Buster is the man. Actually that article ran in the NYT several months ago, and the lower-case b was edited in by someone who didn't think to ask me why I'd capitalized it; the mistake was corrected in the NYT but news service customers may have missed the correction. Best, DH
